Phuket Route with Largest Domestic Aircraft, Airbus A330-300, During Peak Season

Thai AirAsia X is set to elevate domestic air travel with the launch of its Don Mueang-Phuket route starting from December 28, 2024, to January 4, 2025. The route will feature the Airbus A330-300, a wide-body aircraft with a capacity of 377 passengers, marking the largest aircraft deployed on this domestic route.

This development is particularly exciting because Thai Airways previously operated wide-body aircraft on the same route but transitioned to smaller A320 aircraft after the closure of Thai Smile Airways. The return of a wide-body aircraft through Thai AirAsia X adds a new level of comfort and capacity, offering travelers more options for their journeys.

With the route launching during the peak holiday season, it will help meet the high demand for travel between Bangkok and Phuket, further boosting domestic tourism and enhancing connectivity within Thailand.
